Day 4

The last day of my Internship already. The day started off with another meeting in Yara ranges, the same people as my meeting on Wednesday. This meeting was however a lot more interesting. The subject of the meeting was the moving around of people during the breaking down and building up of the new building. It was a kind of a puzzle, where to get people in such a way that it was convenient and fast. I was able to help out this time as they seemed to have a lot of trouble with the digi-board. Together with Mark I traveled further to Belgrave to attend another meeting, this time at the site. It was the most efficient meeting I've had and that was great. Topics discussed were: dangers of the building (in the design the brick wall is made up out of broken bricks which could hurt people), what has to be organised in order to start building and how to reduce costs. After the meeting we drove back to our office in the city center.
Lunch is definitely my favorite time of the day. It's great to catch up with people and listen to their stories. A lot of cultural aspects are not involved as most of my "colleagues" aren't even from Australia. Most of the time we have lunch downstairs and go for a walk afterwards.
I spent my afternoon, again, working on my design. It's not finished yet but we're getting closer. Mark also gave me the design of a flat for me to have a look at. He get's these designs from other architects and has to give his ideas on it, and so did I.
That was my last day already, it has been a great experience and I've learned a lot but you'll read more about that in my conclusion blog post. Because I wanted to thank everyone I decided to leave behind some chocolates with a thank you note.
